Love is Strong as Death: Poems spoken and sung by Paul Kelly
Introducing Love is Strong as Death: Poems spoken and sung by Paul Kelly, a special series of intimate performances.
From Dorothy Porter and William Blake to Rumi, Ovid, Ono No Komachi, Ali Cobby Eckermann and Alison Croggon – poets of many stripes, and many centuries, have shaped the life and work of iconic Australian storyteller Paul Kelly.
From Monday 30 November, in a very special series of intimate performances, the Wheeler Centre will be releasing videos of Paul reciting some of his favourite verses by poets old and new.
These poems are drawn from the 2019 anthology, Love is Strong as Death: Poems Chosen by Paul Kelly, published by Penguin Random House. In the coming weeks, keep an eye out for Paul’s performances on social media and YouTube and stay tuned for more in early 2021.
