Teens Talk… is professional development with a twist – we’re giving teens the mic to share their expertise and experiences of the issues that affect them. In Term 4, we’ll be asking our teen experts to consider the state of the education system.

About
With host Jo Lampert, Professor of Education at La Trobe University, we ask teens from a number of different backgrounds to share their experiences of the school system. What does access and equality look like from a teen perspective? What barriers do teens face in feeling genuinely welcome and engaged in the classroom? And what do teachers need to know about what’s happening in their students’ lives and impacting their experiences at school?
Hear about these urgent and important issues from the young people currently living through them. This is the final event in our 2022 Teens Talk series, and we’re leaving you with some big ideas to take into 2023.
Presented in partnership with La Trobe Education Department’s ‘Lived Experience’ seminars.
The Wheeler Centre’s programming for young audiences is generously supported The Hon. Justice Michelle Gordon AC and The Hon. Kenneth Hayne AC QC.

The event will be live-streamed on this page and will be viewable from 6pm on 17 November 2022.
