Our Little Inventor: Illustration Workshop in Warrnambool
Our Little Inventor is a fantastic book for kids by Melbourne author and illustrator Sher Rill Ng.
It’s the story of a young girl, Nell, who creates an ingenious machine to fight pollution and save her city. With beautiful illustrations and an inspiring heroine, Ng’s story of creativity, perseverance and resilience has struck a chord with many young readers.
At this session at Warrnambool Art Gallery in July, Sher Rill will read from Our Little Inventor and chat with kids about her own creative career, working as an illustrator and designer. She’ll share some trade tips and tricks – about drawing faces, inventing characters and dreaming up amazing machines – then, kids will get the chance to start some drawing projects of their own.
We’ll provide all the materials! Just bring your budding illustrator. Suitable for 4–8-year-olds.
