Annual Giving Program

Join our Annual Giving Program by making a significant gift to The Wheeler Centre of $500 or more. Your donation is an investment in the Australian literary community and will provide crucial resources to enable our work. Through your generous gift, you will deepen your connection to The Wheeler Centre and play a significant role in the growth of our events, programs and activities.

By joining an exclusive group of like-minded donors with a passion for books, writing and ideas you will also enjoy advance notice of our highlight events, priority ticketing and exclusive opportunities to meet with local and international speakers at private functions. Our Annual Giving Program members are acknowledged in The Wheeler Centre’s Annual Report and digital donor lists.

In 2024, your donation will enable us to:

• Present smart, entertaining and accessible public talks on a broad range of topics and allow us to share these digitally at a low or no cost
• Collaborate with local and international writers and thinkers who are changing the conversation
• Amplify underrepresented voices and stories to deepen understanding and challenge the world around us
• Provide active learning experiences and paid opportunities for the next generation of thinkers and writers through our education and kids and families programs
• Keep our ticket prices low and ensure all Victorians are included in the conversation, no matter their circumstances

We invite you to give at the following levels:

$500 – Supporter

• Help us include everyone in the conversation by supporting our subsidised ticketing initiatives for young, low-income and First Nations audience members to attend events at The Wheeler Centre

$1000 – Enquiring Mind

• Support first-time published authors with paid speaking opportunities at our popular Next Big Thing events

$2000 – Bright Spark

• Assist us by providing funding for an in-conversation event with local writers or thought leaders at The Wheeler Centre

$5000 – Conversation Starter

• Enable us to continue to broadcast writers and ideas through high-quality video, podcasting and written content to a global audience

$10,000 – Big Thinker

• Assist us to bring an international speaker or writer to Melbourne or
• Help us take local artists to regional areas of Victoria such as Ballarat, Castlemaine or Warrnambool

$25,000 – Game Changer

• Directly support our kids and families or education programs
• Support The Wheeler Centre to maintain low-cost office space in the heart of the Melbourne CBD for the critical literary organisations who call our building home or
• Partner with us on a signature event
