Cafe Poets at Federation Square Book Market
Ever thought it would be great to get free stuff for being a poet? It happens here in Melbourne! The Australian Poetry Centre’s Cafe Poet Program places poets in cafes all over Australia for long term residencies where poets get free tea and coffee for writing poetry in the cafe.
This Saturday at 1pm, Melbourne’s Cafe Poets will be at Federation Square reading from their work and sharing their Cafe Poet experiences. Curated by Cafe Poet, Andy Jackson (La Paloma Cafe, Brunswick), this is an opportunity to get a fascinating glimpse of cafe poet life.
