David Astle: Wordburger
David Astle is a full-time word-nerd and riddle-wizard. A crossword compiler for the Age, a regular on RN’s Sunday Extra and the author of several books on words and puzzles, Astle is an anagram-scrambling, homophone-switching, spoonerism-generating machine.
At this event for kids, David will whip up a storm of riddles, puzzles, quizzes and lateral-thinking games, all designed to start young minds whirring. He may even share some cryptic crossword-compiling tips, tricks and traps for young players.
Join David for a fun and challenging session that promises to get kids thinking, talking and laughing about language. Suitable for ages 8–13.
