Is your kid the weird and wonderful kind? The kind who loves magic, make-believe and flights of fancy? At the Wheeler Centre next school holidays, we’ll show them a world where you can row boats through the sky.
Dreamer is a production by Dream Puppets, one of Australia’s most celebrated puppetry theatre companies. Dreamer is also the name of the adventurous and inquisitive half-human, half-animal puppet who stars in several of the company’s productions. He’s a pretty big deal. When he’s not exploring space or deep-sea diving, he’s touring the world with his Dream Puppet puppeteers. He’s travelled from Korea to Argentina and has even appeared at the world’s biggest children’s festival in Italy.
In this exquisite adventure, Dreamer will travel through the galaxy while asleep in his bed. Everyday objects and actions will take on the surreal texture and possibility of dreams. With an original score and brilliant puppeteers using blacklight production, this is great school-holiday fun for imaginative kids of all ages.
